Ceramic saxon house

The house of our childhood, our grandparents’ house, the little house from real stories from the good old days, our parents’ house, our little house - a lovers' nest, or merely the long-dreamed house from a miniature collection like no other. A collection that aims to preserve even in small pieces of clay the Romanian traditional houses just as they were in former times.

Shaped with a genuine respect for the essence and the spirit of the real model, this house is inspired by the urban Saxon architecture from Sibiu and Sighisoara and tries to render in a minimal way the flamboyant atmosphere of Romanian medieval towns with Germanic influences.

Design & manufacture: Florin Dumitru – a history teacher whose passion is to rebuild Romania in miniature.

As it happens with any material object manufactured 100% soulfully and painstakingly, this particular object may also have small imperfections, small deviations from the dimensions exhibited and small colour differences from those specified. And that makes it all the more human and more full of emotions, and even of surprises, as it is surprises that make our lives even more beautiful.
